One of my favorite childhood memories was spending every summer day up at my cousin’s grandparent’s pool.
Being a kid, my focus was on things like, did I get the goggles I liked? What new blow-up floats did they have? Or were we going to play the game of finding the coins at the bottom of the pool?
What never entered my mind was the shed next to the pool. My cousin’s grandparents were an early 1980’s Kloter Farms customer. There was two sections to their shed. The front portion held all of the pool equipment and toys, and the back third was a place to change from your clothes to your swimsuit.
In other words, it was a poolhouse before pool-houses were trending!
The transformation of pool-houses has gone from being merely about function, into a structure that is an extension of our styles and homes. They are places to entertain. They are game rooms, kitchens and dining rooms, outdoor living rooms, an oasis in our backyard secret gardens.
To me pools and pool-houses should be married. One is not complete without the other. They are nicely joined together to create harmony and balance in your outdoor living space. So choose both carefully :) While my top priorities are including a changing room, bathroom, mini kitchen and a social area, each one of us have our unique needs and wishes.
But to get the creative juices going, here’s a few of these beautiful designs we have seen lately…
The best part is we make it a fun process! With your ideas and styles, our sales staff will helps you pick and choose the right features and layouts to make your poolhouse a backyard retreat!
